Poetry Night in Parkdale again!

Hello folks!...

Hibernation days are over and the big black Toronto Bear is slowly rising from his winter slumber...Those wicked winter days with subzero temperatures has made us into winter zombies..We insist on driving our cars even in wickedly freezing weather..Everthing is done in slow motion as we slowly walk against that ravaging wind that pierces our breastbones like a tuning fork...Are we in tune with mother nature or are we just quietly cursing her? These questions are difficult to ask becasue we have no respect for the woman who has brought us from the dawn of creation to the different stages of the earth's evolution...Indeed.. mankind should be grateful for the earth's beauty but instead we rape her for all of her resources while poluting the rivers lakes and oceons with industrial waste...Many weeks without power in some parts of Toronto has made us certified slaves of the monstrous power grid...A slave always suffers from the hands of his persecutor and mother nature indeed is extracting her revenge on our greedy and exploitive nature..Can global warming retreat from the eventual catastrophe that is arriving around the corner?

The answer to that question lies in how we perceive the world today! Survival is left front and centre of our short noses and to think otherwise is contrary to our nature..Seals, whales and sharks will be slaughtered  for their valuable parts while the rest are dicarded..Overfishing has caused fishstocks to vanish..The effects of global warming has also caused the ocean's ecological balance to be compromised.. as a result the oceans temperatures continue to rise, resulting in valuable plant life such as planton and sea lichens to die prematurely..thus causing the demise of sea creatures of all types...Sharks are starving and will have no mercy when anything resembling blood should ooze into their territorial waters...There have been more shark attacks now then there ever was..Slowly.. sea life as we know it could be totally extinct in 50 years if we continue our senseless pilforage of our oceans..and the dangerous carbonizations of our ecosphere...All life is dependant on each other and if one set circumstances  are out of balance then that in itself can casue havoc to other levels of life structures...A classic example is the dying of millions of bees who are bred to polonize flowers and plants...If they do not do this as well as they once did then that could cause many plants, flowers and other life to be seriously effected..Many animals, insects and other life forms rely on this as a food source and if there is a short supply then animals insects and birds could eventually become extinct...As evolution was a constructing process..a serious devolution could cause the world to distruct life forms in the same way evolution constructed life forms.....A scary proposition isn't it?

If you think this is insanity well...look no further to  Nasa and other space agencies spending billions to find life on Mars...The research and due diligence required to man a Mars mission by 2026 is astonishing..The Mars 1 Mission is committed to colonize Mars by 2030...while life on this once beautiful planet slowly self destructs...Why spend billions on a cold hostile lifeless world when all the life is right here under our noses?

We reconstruct and remodel our own houses and cars but reconstructing and repairing the damage done to our beautiful planet is not in our radar is it? Pity!...I'm sad right now...not from seasonal adjustment disorder of mid winter but from the condition of our world when our children will inherit it....It could be that this world will be so uninhabitable by 2040 that colonizing Mars may not be out of the question...Millions may die prematurely but only a select few will treck the trillions of miles to another world! What we need is a select few to repair the damage to our planet not the select few to colonize another one! Does this make sense to you?

Anyway...my doomsday helmet is on again and as I rant and rage about the inequities of this world let's take a break and try to put a smile on our faces...Today was Poetry night at the Parkdale Centre again..As the facilatator smiles at the group she urges us all to think of a story line for the word Caboose...

My contribution for tonight was as follows:

The caboose is at the end of the train of life..We eventually will ride in this section
when the Bigga Bigga Bossa Upadera books our final destination..where will that be you might ask? Well...If you have enough spiritual dollars you
may have enough currency to pick a good house among many mansions..but..

On the other hand you may commit a serious crime against humanity..if you do
please be prepared to go to a place you would rather be!
get the picture? HeHeHe (Devilish laugh!)

By Mario Querqui...

So there you have it folks!...Try not to be discouraged or worried by my doomsday talk..If we all do our part the world could still be improved!...or dare I say...saved! Stay tuned for the next entry of the verifiedbeliever...ciao Love ya!
