The Soul Speaks are you listening.....?

hello!

How goes the battle? Or should I say how goes the many battles? We all know that each one of us has a different war to fight and life is made up of many battles....Before you can win any war you have to win the many battles in between...Yea...I'm no hawkish dude waving a sign which says nuke them to shreds ...The saying I'm a lover not a fighter is a bit redundant but gone are the days when I would show my muscles to people (girls) so they would know how powerful and cool I was...No need to rev up my car engine and honk the horn when ladies walk by ...Hell I don't even have a car!...There is no popular girl to impress now...Only the bigga bigga bossa upadera! So if you are 50 plus my suggestion to you is put it in a lower gear and start building up your karma credits...Remember wisdom was bestowed upon me at the magic age of 50 and I don't care to keep up with the Jone's and don't give a rat's ass about how much money you have or if you are a CEO with a global company and have an expense account the size of Manhatten or if you have a lear jet reserved for weekend jaunts to Paris...Hey! I subscribe and listen to smart singers who know how to convince me about what is important and what is not!...Like
Shania Twain would say...."That don't impress me much"...(Heheh) So what does impress the verifiedbeliever huh???? Well...that is a topic that is reserved for the above entry called:The soul Speaks are you listening?

The soul or higher power is like a Rolls Royce luxury car being driven by a 6 year old ... The car is a humdinger and screams class and sure looks good on four wheels but all we can do is fiddle with the controls like a child would do and pretend to drive it...We know all about love, respect, honor, compassion, and even tough love but do we practice what we know about? We let someone else show unconditional love.. Very few people show compassion or love unconditionally...We let the good karma queens and Kings do that sort of thing because Mother Teresa is well,Mother Teresa...She was anointed by the Holy one to do the deeds we can never do ...or maybe don't want to do...It's an excuse that people have when these living angels or saints are put on society's pedestal..We prefer to treat them as great... They actually care about the world and it's poverty, suffering and the deep pain and they show it by their deeds and actions...

Survival and fear clogs our spiritual third eye until all that matters is that weekly paycheck and when Friday comes around we can go have a few drinks at the local watering hole...Our excuse is: I work like hell and now I deserve a drink or two! This has been our mantra call for many years and sadly the world becomes more and more like a jungle with the animal brain taking the driver's seat...Which reminds me of a book I recently read called: The Winner's Attitude...The theory behind the book is that mankind has three brains. The Reptilian automatic brain, the animal brain and the true human brain. When John and Mary have an argument they have their animal brain on. If Mary deceides to hug John and show love to him before the argument escalates then Mary has deceided to turn on her true human brain. This was a split second judgment call and it demonstrates how easy it could be if people would actually attempt it. People who hang around in gangs or even organized crime all have their animal brain switched on...Animals are not conscious of an inner soul all they know or want to know is where there next meal is coming from or would fight or flee in the event of danger...All they know is fear and survival...When mankind concentrates on their own survival or ignores truth they are in a defensive fear mode and their animal brain is switched on..Sad but true people usually have their animal brains turned on most of the time...and the sleeping giant ....err.....(the soul) well...........goes on sleeping! Until lightening strikes.....! (haha)

Yea the soul, higher power or that true brain with that little something added...Whatever you want to call it ..it is something to acknowledge or listen to...That inner voice that softly tells you to be nice to that old man walking across the street....Maybe you can say hello and take his arm and walk with him so the light does not suddenly turn red..

There are many examples of the soul emerging out of the animal brain and majestically appearing for all to see...Elvis Presley in his last concert prior to his death appeared in Minneapolis USA in 1977...His ravaged body was the result of drugs he was sadly addicted too...His animal brain was turned on a lot while taking drugs thinking that more is good but he did it anyway and the addiction to drugs was so great that he felt a sense of security taking them...Addiction does that to you and for him to change to a drug free body was problematic and he feared it ....Remember? Fear and survival dominate the animal brain. The good thing about Elvis was his soul was that Rolls Royce ...He loved people and showed it in his actions on and off stage....His Rolls so to speak was so powerful and at times he could do fancy turns and go on the highway with it with pride and Joy...He did not ever play with the controls ...He actually drove it and realized that once the car was on the road there was no stopping it...His soul and the Roylls Royce are sweet metaphors but the sad part was ...When he didn't drive it he parked it and then was at the mercy of his own legs... At that time drugs were his fuel and when he was not singing or performing...There were times he botched his concert because of his drug addiction but there were many more times he was so determined to perform well and that's when his soul never failed him...It made him even greater and U-Tube will attest to that in his later years prior to his passing...His voice actually got better and a perfect example of that was in Minneapolis in 1977....Look on U-tube and key in last Elvis concert and you will see him singing and playing on the piano...The tune was Unchained Melody...It was a very good song and it fit the time, place, space, situation he was in....Examine his singing and you don't have to be a music expert to know he nailed the the tune so majestically! There were two or three notes that he sang which went higher and higher and his soul guided him to the end of the song...The end of the song was the climax as the animal brain made a slight growl as he triumphantly smiled to the camera and the audience! My heart of hearts tells me that was his exit concert and was his most convincing ever as far as his talent was concerned!

Yea there are many examples in life about how powerful meditation can be...There are studies done on the results of thousands of yogi's chanting together and even though it's a small number of people compared to the population of the world it managed to decrease the crime rate in California by 5 percent..They say it only takes a select few to change the world...John Lennon's song Give Peace a Chance is a powerful tune and it really put peace in the limelight causing havoc in the US and making Lennon a constant pain for the CIA who put him on a special watch list because of his anti-war beliefs and demonstrations...He really started the ball rolling as far as famous musicians such as U2's Bono in his aids concerts , world poverty, the elimination of third world debts etc...These musicians and artists have powerful and persuasive souls who took the extra leap of faith to use their powerful influence to literally change the world...

The soul speaks my friends and it is tired of sleeping...Determination and a Will toward a mission is what fuels the soul into action..What blinds the soul from acting is mankind's animal brain...His or her interest in self preservation at all costs and the accumulation of money fame or power is what the animal brain is obsessed with and if someone challenges it it will fight, or flee....Whole countries are ruled by politicians who have their animal brain switched on...The need to dominate or over-power others is in the animal kingdom in all species...Protectionism in the USA is the result of the animal brain wrongly thinking that their country belongs only to them...Let's protect our interests and assets...and the Hell with the rest of the world! The USA is part of the world and should be shared with all the world....There is no nationalism in heaven...Remember Lennon's song Imagine? Imagine no countries....Try if you will!

Yea the soul or Higher Power is an awesome addition to our humble simple brain...if only we realized how powerful we could be! Yes Mr.Bigga Bigga Bossa Upadera make me an instrument of your love! Our next series of entries will be a special tribute to the soul, Higher Power or whatever you want to call it...Look for it in October... It's called The Ginger Tea Series...It's in 4 parts....Ciao Love yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
