Let's follow the yellow brick road...

hello Folks!

Life seems so plentiful in the summer months as wildlife makes it's way into fields, forests, parks and in the skies..Mankind somehow doesn't blend in very well with the vibrant life that only mother nature can demonstrate..If you call bumper to bumper traffic, concrete barriers, smog warnings, and the fake man made lake and artificial scenery in the coming G20 summit a symbol of what mother nature has to offer us ,then ...we are in a really sad state of affairs aren't we? Why can't Canada be the real Canada to the world? Why does it have to be fake just to make an impression in a limited sort of way? One of the most scenic areas of Canada is Lake Louise in the Banff region of Alberta..I'm sure the Alberta provincial government would of loved to stage such an international event there ...promoting their own region and also promoting Canada as a whole..Millions of dollars of tax payers money could be saved and Mr Harper would not be faulted in anyway since he is only showing the real Canada for all the world to see..As we follow the yellow brick road in today's entry, Mr Harper reminds me of that Wizard of Oz straw-man scarecrow saying: 'If I only had a brain'! (he-he)...

Well today's entry is Let's follow the yellow brick road.. this complimentary picture (music also provided) for all to see might give someone the visual punch to follow such a road..There are many roads in life..there is the road to freedom, wisdom, truth, love, health and yes even the more wicked and self destructive roads are there to follow if you so desire..Where most people make their mistake is the many false detours to their final destinations...diversions, instant gratifications, and let's have it now attitudes which makes people avoid the main road they really want...or their own alter ego really wants..My alter ego is the verifedbeliever..and I could of continued to follow my junk food, cigarette smoking , beer drinking past... stupid road of life...but I won't ever again..Age did a number on me and it's really true that my long walk down many roads made me realize that hey..I'm lost here! Where should I be right now? Is this the ultimate road or roads I am content with following for the rest of my life? Age and the experience of this trial and error type of temporary confusion made me realize that yes indeed...there is a magical yellow brick road that leads to spiritual nirvana, health, truth, and self discovery in the truest sense!

If you talk to anyone on the street if they want to be healthy they will all say yes they do..but if you ask them to quit smoking, and quit eating those jelly filled donuts then it's a different story isn't it? Give me all the health life can offer me but dam if I will ever quit having my triple triple coffee and my Big Mac and fries! Funny how human nature is .. Some people still don't understand life 101 and the fact that every bad seed brings a bad crop.. Everyone wants to go to heaven but very few of us want to do the work that will help us get there!.. As it says in the bible..getting to heaven is like trying to thread a camel in a needle..as a result people still lie, cheat, commit rape murder, embezzle corporate funds , curse, disrespect, pollute, manipulate others for lust or money..Yea welcome to our world folks!..and it really is not going to change any time soon either!

Even though the world will not change each person has the power to follow their own yellow brick road to happiness, true love, truth, health, and yes even to acquire wealth..It's not a sin to want to be rich as long as you do it the right way..If your soul is guiding you spiritually while you accumulate wealth then it could be a good thing..Powerful spiritual forces could be supporting you along this yellow brick road and the final destination could be a rather pleasant surprise!

The original idea of the yellow brick road was thought of in the novel The wonderful Wizard of Oz written in 1900 by L. Frank Baum. The story line is interesting in that the little girl Dorthy was instructed to leave Munchkin county to follow the road to Emerald city where she would obtain help from the mighty Wizard of Oz. There at the start of the yellow brick road was the red brick road..Not knowing if the red brick road takes her to the Wizard she instead takes the yellow brick road..A good choice by a fine young girl with morals and sincerity..Merrily she walks the yellow brick road until she comes to a fork in the road..She then appears very confused because now there are three roads to choose from..The Scarecrow appears at this fork and together they choose the right road to the Wizard..Even though Dorthy and gang took the harder road with many trials and tribulations she eventually reaches Emerald city..on the yellow brick road!

Today's interpretation of the theme of the Wizard of Oz and the yellow brick road is a spiritual journey that everyone is on..reading between the lines and the hidden messages from the modern version written by William J. Bausch..The Yellow Brick Rd-(The Storyteller's approach to the spiritual journey)..This modern day version is based on 16 story-lines or reflections all based on a spiritual journey theme with the Wizard of Oz as a fundamental base..Quite an interesting interpretation of the original work by L.Frank Baum..

Yes we all are on a special journey...a spiritual journey if you will..the road you take can be treacherous and full of peril as is Dorthy and company...but it is the road that is only special for you..knowing how life 101 works is very important in that if one takes a bad road bad things will become of it in the final analysis..there could be short term gains but in the end the journey was the result of the type of road taken..For those who do not trust a certain road if it is full of trials and tribulations...This I say to you: Just because the right road is full of tribulations and hardship it doesn't mean it's the wrong road..Let us quote Shakespeare's play As you like it Act 11 scene 1. "Sweet are the uses of adversity, which like the toad ugly and venomous, wears yet a precious Jewell in his head. And this our life exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything. I would not change it" Quite an extraordinary man who leaves us a very special message!

In conclusion let us all take the right road in our spiritual journey...as they say the journey is everything..life is our journey and to take an easier short road just because it's comfortable could be the most terrible mistake you can make!...Choose the right road when you get up in the morning..Wake up and choose the freedom road, health road, positive road, drug free road, sober road, smokeless road, the love road and the list goes on and on...You can hitchhike..it's alright..as long as you go on it..Someone will give you a ride!.. After all: If a scarecrow with no brain can decide the right road to follow, so can we! (he he)

Stay tuned for the next entry of the verifiedbeliever...Ciao Love ya!
