Holy Moses..if you can learn this song...you are a CGP for sure!

hello folks..

Christmas is around the corner and it's time to resonate be happy and see the potential of truth ...It has many forms..True potential is what this entry is all about..that in itself is truth or at least the potential of it..As I was looking for another song to play on my trusty guitar I found one that is a guitar standard for anyone who wants to be proficient in this instrument..Chet Akins once said that if you can play the song Guitar Boogie by Arthur Smith you are on your way as a guitarist.. and when Thomas Emanuel visited him one day he presented him with the title CGP (Certified Guitar Player) ..Well after watching this video of Thomas Emmanuel I think he should get a special certificate which puts him as the worlds greatest guitar player period..Listen to it and you will see...and please if you begin to learn how to play Guitar Boogie please do not try to play it like him note for note..A lot of Thomas's interpretation of the original work by Arthur Smith is actually improvisation..When I found this song on the internet I seriously considered giving up the guitar and donating it to a homeless shelter...well my thoughts were like this: If I did donate it.. part of my soul would feel good for the good deed..but then my soul would also be homeless. So I'm now proud about keeping it and feel good about playing it...

Thomas Emmanuel from Australia is an awesome player...a freak of nature to put it bluntly..not a guitar player from this planet for sure..but if one strives too become a musician one must remember..music is based on what your soul wants to express..If you feel good about your playing then your soul feels good too..and listening to others should be a celebration of their souls while at the same time we must  understand that our soul is important too as we celebrate ours...but we we cannot have another persons soul...we can only celebrate with them..so in retrospect.. listening to this song recorded by Arthur Smith but played by Thomas Emmanuel has made me motivated enough to learn it..but only the way my soul wants to play it...rock on brothers and sisters! Ciao love ya!!
