Deadly Conspiracy

Greetings!

As the world turns may be a very boring statistical fact but even a soap opera will not make people more willing to communicate and help one another.Bottom line profits, and the pursuit of power seems to be what motivates the majority of people today. In looking at certain areas of business whether it's health, finance, major corporations or even the nasty profit orientated 'Big Pharma'...one thing is certain: Time is money and people in business let you know that very clearly!

There are many readers who may believe that I show negative traits more then positive ones.. Society and people in general cannot improve without knowing how problems effect them..Since time is a precious commodity even to the simple working person one can say that taking the time to eat healthy or smell the roses is really a nuisance... or something people put on their personal back-burner..People just don't have the time any-more and as a result we can only chart today's economic progress and how it has changed compared to the pre-computer era..One thing is certain, big business has increased in quantity only and has been globally more competitive. This has made the pursuit of profit more elusive and tougher.This pursuit of profit and the ever obsession with the corporate bottom line has made today's entry Deadly Conspiracy my focus of attention.

When discussing a topic one has to clarify what the topic is about or at least it's meaning..so that we can understand things clearly.. The definition of conspiracy according to Mr Webster is quite extensive and there are many definition versions which can equate to the word..nevertheless, most of the elaborate definitions will make your head spin, but the simplest definition seems to be from Audio-English.net. It states that there are three versions: 1) a secret agreement between two or more people to perform and unlawful act 2) A plot to carry out some harmful or illegal act (especially political) 3) A group of conspirators joined together to achieve some harmful or illegal purpose.
Without going to other legal definitions these three versions seem to be general enough for today's entry..

Since we are now semi-proficient in the meaning of conspiracy let us examine why people conspire to do what they do. In previous entries I talked about how people are blinded by survival at all costs..Survival in the political arena can be the most important reason why politicians do what they do..In order to survive the ruling party in Canada needs political capitol..One type of political capitol is from major corporations who can partner with them to promote Canadian industry..Promoting industries in major areas in Canada is crucial to the country's economy as a whole..When corporations do well employment increases and more taxes can be collected..This scenario of economic progress can be deceiving when companies act in their own self interest..One example of this is the pulp and Paper industry. During the period of 1962 to 1970 one company in Northern Ontario was responsible for dumping over 10,000 tons of mercury in the Wabigoon and English rivers..During this period this major pulp and Paper producer consistently denied they were to blame.They blamed the natural mercury that was found in the area as the culprit..In 1975 Dr. Harada a mercury expert from Japan was sent to examine some of the people in the Grassy Narrows area and found their mercury levels to be three times the limit of Health Canada's guidelines..In 1970 the government disallowed fishing in the Wabigoon river which was an overdue acknowledgement but it was too late because in 2004 Dr Harada revisited the area and discovered that all the victims that were tested above Health Canada's guidelines have since died..This to me was a classic example of a government in complete denial of the facts and indeed was also a conspiracy by the two paper mills..The government was also a co-conspirator when they ignored pleas from fishermen and the community that they were dumping mercury in these rivers.. A sad state of affairs and leadership in this instance was severely lacking and was clouded by the economic clout of two major paper producers...who paid the lion's share of taxes in the area..Even to this day the native people of Grassy Narrows marched over to the Toronto legislator protesting that they were still unfairly treated in the matter..Many claims were still not settled and Ontario is still foot dragging the issue..

Survival at all costs is the mantra call in today's world. Sometimes survival is so important morals are thrown out the window. Legislation by governments in the 80's was supposed to make waste dumping illegal..but when it comes to exploiting the opportunity to cash in sinister organized groups such as the Mafia became a major conspirator.. One such group is the Ndrangheta (a mafia syndicate based in Calabria, Italy). This sinister group has been involved in radioactive waste dumping since the 1980's. As many as 30 ships loaded with radioactive waste were sunk on route to Somalia and even buried in that country after bribing the local politicians..So the theory and practice of Conspiracy is alive and well in this evil world. There were many politicians in Italy who knew of their covert operations and would not dare to confront them for fear of retaliation..The real truth is that some parts of southern Italy are controlled indirectly by the syndicate and municipal governments go through the motions of governing while conspiring to hide important facts to the rest of Italy and the European Union..

In discussing conspiracy or a deliberate attempt to hide facts which could be harmful to the population at large one has to take into consideration our democracy and that every North American has the right to enjoy his poison which is sold to each and everyone of us...Big Tobacco companies have known for many years that cigarettes cause cancer but people continue to smoke and major tobacco companies continue to rake in the profits..Even though North American governments are making mega millions on cigarette taxes they continue to conspire and openly allow cigarettes to be sold..Billions of tax dollars are lost in contraband cigarettes as people take advantage of an illegally priced pack of cigarettes..What we have here is a 'double-whammy conspiracy' of cigarette smuggling and the government's refusal to ban cigarette smoking.. As I sit here typing all this entry my blood boils over in disgust as I wonder why we elect political people..Isn't the law of the land (presumably written by capable politicians) used to protect our country's citizens? If an alien race comes to attack Canada who is supposed to be on television to warn us? Our leaders are doing very little to protect the general health of Canadian citizens. Big food manufacturers continue to conspire to sell harmful food to a lot of unsuspecting people..The three evil precursors are conveniently hidden and are all used to titillate our taste buds to the max..Let's not mess with a success formula that makes people spend billions on foods laced with sodium, saturated fat, and sugar..One can only wonder how a major company such as the MacDonald's fast food chain can get away with it!..Any laboratory food technician will tell you that major fast food chains have been adding sugar coated fat fillers to the meat for decades..This produces a very tasty product everyone loves..We as concerned consumers should be aware of this but we live by the rule of what is comfortable rather then what is good for us..Most people do not check food labels and do not even know what those bar codes on certain foods mean.This sodium, saturated fat and fillers, and sugar laden poison has been taking our taste buds hostage for decades..

In closing let us venture into the medical profession and how it is constantly complaining that they are under paid for services rendered....which leads us to discuss the father of modern medicine and what he actually said thousands of years ago..Hippocrates was born in Greece around 400 BC. He was taught medicine by his father and a few famous teachers of the era..He made his career being a house to house physician and was thought to be the Author of the Hippocratic Oath.Without reciting the oath verbatim let us quote certain important passages which could be relevant to today's medical scenario. He originally states in the Oath: "I will follow that system of regimen which according to my ability and judgement, I consider for the benefit of my patients, and abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous. I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked or suggest any such counsel, and in like manner I will not give to a woman a pessary to produce abortion. With Purity and with Holiness I will pass my life and practice my art"...Right at the very end of the Oath he states " But should I trespass and violate this Oath, may the reverse be my lot"..Quite a noble pure and honourable man I would say! Hippocrates wrote over 70 books during his time and many believe he laid the foundation for the science of modern medicine. Modern medicine has grown in leaps and bounds and most medical schools use some form of the oath but the majority of schools recite the commitment to the patient in the Oath as standard.

Let us now discuss how modern medicine has changed from the Hippocrates era. My personal opinion is that he would be astounded with how medicine has evolved with new advances such as transplants, remote robotic surgery, and the discovery of insulin. The only parts he would be 'rolling in his grave' with is how many abortions were and are now performed. Hippocrates was a man of purity and nobleness and in today's world we choose to ignore his call for purity..Prior to legalization 90% of illegal abortions were performed by physicians using the 'back alley approach' whereby the woman would enter the Doctor's office from the back alley. This was a discrete way of avoiding suspicion. The remainder of the illegal abortions were performed by nurses, midwives or any other trained professional. Even though Hippocrates laid the foundation to the medical community what does the medical profession do? They twisted his call for purity and conspired to behave in an immoral way. Millions of abortions were done illegally and now legally as the medical profession has taken the side of the mother in most situations.Many purists would say that this is wrong and that all life should be respected regardless of the stage of development. I don't think Hippocrates would be happy for the way things have turned out.

In discussing conspiracy let us again not forget what Hippocrates once said: "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food" This little quote alone could of saved millions of deaths and prevented illness throughout the world! Canadians spend over 24 billion dollars on drugs while only spending 18 billion on doctors. Let us delve further on modern day drugs. The fine line between a drug and a poison is simply dosage. Many drugs are heavily marketed at dosages that are risky for the average patient. The 'proof in the pudding' is that over 16 major drugs have been pulled off the market for injuring and killing patients. Vioxx (a non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drug) may have killed 65,000 before withdrawn by the drug's manufacturer. The problem with drugs is that once they become patented the drug companies begin to have exclusive rights to it's marketing and overall profits. Once a drug has been approved by the FDA or Health Canada these drug manufacturers can profit enormously. They then have the green light to heavily market it to the medical community. Doctors get a tremendous amount of free samples from their drug sales rep and also get perks such as free drug vacations all expense paid seminars to instruct the typical doctor on the virtues of the specific drug. Doctors feel obligated to the drug companies because of this and continue to over prescribe drugs that may not even be needed. The conspiracy is that the typical patient is unaware that he or she is being made a guinea pig to the drug manufacturer. Most drugs begin to be marketed while in the final phase 4 of the study trial. Drugs are fast tracked and approved by Health Canada prematurely. Most people (including the drug companies) do not know how a drug can effect them long term and are being too complacent with their own health care provider. The real truth is that Doctors know nothing about the drug and do not even know all of the side effects. There could be 3 or 4 that are discussed in the doctor's office but the manufacturer's lawyer has the fine print on the actual amount of damage it can do.

Let us not forget our senior citizens for they are and should be the wisest for all their experience in life. Most are in nursing homes and a lot of seniors are on 7 or 8 different pills. Many seniors over 65 are being classified as senile but the truth or I should say the conspiracy being exposed here is that they are being over drugged and the actual drugs are causing the memory lapses and the confusion!

The problem with North Americans is that they don't handle pain or stress very well. Their comfort zone is being compromised and most North Americans will take a pill for their pain or stressful headache. Big drug manufacturers are happy to oblige the market and billions of dollars of pain killers, aspirin, and acetaminophen (Tylenol) are being sold over the counter. Studies have been done and one recent study involving 1700 women has proved that in 10 percent of the women their kidney impairment increased by 64% if they took between 1500 to 9000 Tylenol during their lifetime. And the final proof is that over 45,000 North Americans are being killed yearly by renal failure due to Tylenol, aspirin and pain killers. My anger is causing me tremendous stress as I type this entry as I finally realize the main conspiracy here. The FDA and Health Canada do nothing because they are in actual collusion with the drug companies. Partners with the Devil? You bet! These over the counter drugs are tremendously profitable and to ban them from the market place is like throwing money away. Health Canada has a judge that approves certain drugs and this little known fact of not taking minutes at the drug approval trials and hearings is a clue to how they work together.

These little known conspiracies have made my blood boil enough.. Please do consider what I said in today's entry as a labour of love for humanity and that there are very sinister entities in this world whose sole purpose is to rake in the most profits without regard to your safety.
